Heather Nicholson

Heather Nicholson M.Ac, C.Ac. Dipl.Ac is a Nationally licensed practitioner of Acupuncture. The owner of Stillpoint Acupuncture in Oshkosh Wi. She received her Master’s degree in Acupuncture from the Academy For Five Element of Acupuncture in Gainesville Florida in 2005. This comprehensive four-year program encompassed Western and Eastern Medical studies. Her extensive training is comprised of Chinese, Japanese and Five Element Styles Acupuncture as well as Chinese Herbal Medicine. Focusing much of her study and practice in the field of women’s health, Heather’s expertise includes the treatment of fertility issues, pregnancy related concerns, menopause, PMS, menstrual disorders, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia and a variety of other women’s health issues.
Additionally, Heather has extensive experience and education in treating chronic and acute pain conditions with a style of acupuncture called DAO needle therapy. This technique is best used with musculoskeletal conditions, including back pain, joint pain, hip pain, knee pain, shoulder pain, sciatic pain and headaches.
Trained and certified in Scalp Acupuncture, most commonly used for post-stroke and neurological problems including Paralysis, Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Traumatic Brain Injury, Motor Neuron Diseases, Phantom Limb Syndrome, Meniere’s Syndrome, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, Alzheimer’s Disease, Restless Leg Syndrome and mental-emotional disorders.
Heather embraces an integrative approach to wellness and works to assist each patient toward optimum health and well-being. By combining acupuncture, herbal medicine, massage and lifestyle education, she tailors her treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each individual.
